Good (and bad) news about paid media
February 11th, 2010 Posted in New Techniques, Pay Per Click Advertising, Traffic, marketing | 6 Comments »The other day we released our all new Traffic Evolution paid media course, and got a few emails from clients wondering if it’s right for them.
The biggest thing people want to know is whether the resources we give are really that responsive, and whether paid visitors convert as well as SEO and other free traffic sources, and the short answer is… sometimes.
You see, some of the vendors we recommend sell pop-ups. And while their systems are pretty targeted, pop-up traffic is not known for being that responsive. Which can be a problem, until you remember the starting cost is… just 1.5 cents a click!
Or take another resource we give that sells banners, text ads, and interstitials. This network generates traffic from a huge stable of B-level sites, personal blogs, small content pages, and other “less than perfect” sources.
And while conversion is often lower than AdWords, their pricing is as much as 75% less, and they’ll let you run ads in ways that Google won’t, like promote health supplements, affiliate offers, business-opportunities, load pop-ups on landing pages, even use custom “display” URLs. (Take that, big G!)
With paid media, you may not achieve profitability overnight. It may take some split-testing, but when you find the right combination of offer and traffic, paid media lets you scale up exponentially to an almost unbelievable volume, and even turn advertisers into affiliates, none of which is an option if you are relying on free systems that are on one day, and gone another.
And that’s really the secret to using these resources… scale! You still have to work to get people to buy your stuff, but paid media adds something that’s rarely talked about online, and that’s predictability.
Predictability, consistency, scale. These are the real foundations of online wealth building, and we give you 40+ legitimate online resources that sell traffic in the course, as well as techniques to make the most of them.
Go, learn, profit, and discover how to build your business like the “big-kids” do…
I promise you’ll never look back.
